Mortlock & Joyce - About us and our relationship with Catford SE6

We are aware that estate agents aren't the most well-thought-of, but Mortlock & Joyce’s mission is to change that.

Our expertise and the experience you will receive
Over the years, we have unfortunately heard of many negative experiences and by a country mile, the most common is communication. For years we had dreamt about starting a business, one where there was a more practical way of doing things, one that wasn’t geared around high volume or market share, but where each move is truly custom-fit and uses only the most premium marketing to showcase your home fully.

Jon started working in Catford in 2009 and Peter in 2012, so when we started our company, it was an area we wanted to focus on, as we have built up lots of relationships over 25 years, helping people move in and out of the area. We have accumulated a huge amount of local knowledge and grown extremely passionate about Catford.

The time you and your property deserve
By working with a limited number of clients, we’re able to give you the dedicated time your most valuable asset deserves. With us, you’ll be working with the same person from the very start; handing over keys, and not being passed from department to department. We felt so confident that this method of working is the way forward and that the experience is far greater, that we don’t tie customers into long contracts.

Mortlock & Joyce was born.

The name
Often, we get asked where the name Mortlock & Joyce comes from, and we can say proudly it is named after both of our respective grandparents. At the time, we went back and forth as we wanted something meaningful to us. With surnames that are not the most straightforward to pronounce, Pronger & Strudwick was out of the question, and Jon & Pete Estates didn’t have the same ring to it either.
